COAC Export Modernization Working Group Recommendations

COAC recommends that CBP publish the “Electronic Export Manifest Pilot Document: Outlined Benefits for Why You Should Participate” paper in its entirety. The document should be posted to CBP.gov and a corresponding Cargo Systems Messaging Service email sent to the trade to maximize the reach for pilot participation and expansion.

COAC recommends that CBP perform an internal review to determine the necessary resources for additional pilot participation support in advance of the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking for the Electronic Export Manifest for Rail, Ocean and Air modes of transportation.
