Falfurrias, Texas - Agents assigned to the Falfurrias Border Patrol Station aided an injured man near Oilton, northwest of Hebbronville on Highway 359.
The event transpired at about 10 p.m. yesterday when four agents carpooling to the Falfurrias Station, to work the night shift, were flagged down by a motorist between Laredo and Oilton. The motorist informed the agents he noticed what appeared to be a body laying on the roadway. The victim appeared to have sustained severe injuries to his upper body and was in and out of consciousness.
The agents immediately rendered aid, called Emergency Medical Services and the Webb County Sheriff's Office. While momentarily coherent, the injured man claimed to have jumped off a moving vehicle. He was transported to a Laredo Hospital and his current condition and identity remain unknown. The man was subsequently transported to a medical facility in San Antonio.
