STERLING, Va. – U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is hosting a series of hiring workshops for prospective job applicants Friday at Washington Dulles International Airport.

CBP Hiring Workshop PosterThese two-hour sessions start promptly at 9 a.m., 12 noon, 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. in the airport’s main terminal conference room located on the second floor near baggage belt 12.  CBP officers will cover topics, such as a CBP 101 briefing, job requirements, resume do’s and don’ts, and application tips.

“Hiring and developing our people is one of the most important things that we do.  Job Fairs, like the one at Dulles, are great ways for candidates to discover first-hand information about Customs and Border Protection,” said Casey Durst, CBP’s Director of Field Operations in Baltimore.  “In today’s job market, there is a lot of competition for quality law enforcement candidates.  The good news is that we have a really good story to tell; we have excellent pay and opportunities for those who want to come work for CBP.”

The Dulles CBP officer hiring opportunity closes October 31.  If you are interested in a federal law enforcement career and wish to remain near the National Capitol Region, then attend one of these Friday workshops or Apply Now.

A CBP officer is a full-time, uniformed federal law enforcement professional.  In addition to their anti-terrorism mission, CBP officers also enforce customs, immigration, and agricultural laws and regulations, and prevents the illegal trafficking of humans, narcotics and other contraband into the United States.
