CBP Offers Enrollment on Arrival in Cleveland & Indianapolis

CLEVELAND-U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is encouraging passengers arriving at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) or Indianapolis International Airport (IND) to plan-ahead and complete their Global Entry interview by using the Global Entry Enrollment on Arrival (EoA) Program.EoA

This program allows Global Entry applicants who are conditionally approved to complete their interviews upon arrival into the United States. The EoA program eliminates the need for a Global Entry applicant to schedule an interview at an enrollment center to complete the application process.

“CBP continues to offer innovative technologies that will allow arriving international travelers a more expedited arrival process ,” said LaFonda Sutton-Burke, Director, Field Operations, Chicago Field Office.  “We are pleased to add this additional new benefit and encourage those passengers that are conditionally approved to use this option while you are already at the airport.”

When landing in an international terminal, a Global Entry applicant would follow the signage directing them to CBP officers who can complete their Global Entry interview immediately following the admissibility inspection.

To complete the interview via EoA, the applicant must be in possession of the following documents:

  • A valid passport. If you travel using more than one passport, please bring them all to the interview so that the information can be added to your file. This provides you with the ability to use multiple passports at the Global Entry kiosk.
  • Documents providing evidence of residency. Examples are driver's license (if the address is current), mortgage statement, rental payment statement, utility bill, etc. This is not required for minors.
  • A permanent resident card (if applicable).

By taking advantage of this program, a conditionally approved Global Entry applicant can save time and participate in Enrollment on Arrival.

“Global entry enrollment on arrival allows for qualified trusted traveler applicants to conveniently complete their application process during their admissibility inspection without having to visit a Global Entry Enrollment Center,” stated Cleveland Area Port Director Diann Rodriguez.

EoA is available to eligible applicants arriving internationally at the Indianapolis International Airport, 7800 Col. H. Weir Cook Memorial Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46241 and the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, 5300 Riverside Dr, Cleveland, OH 44135.

EoA is available to all international arrivals including commercial flights, charter flights and private aircraft, and is an additional option for qualified travelers to complete their Global Entry application. Global Entry is a CBP sponsored program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States.

Office of Field Operations (OFO) is the largest component in CBP and is responsible for border security—including anti-terrorism, immigration, anti-smuggling, trade compliance, and agriculture protection—while simultaneously facilitating the lawful trade and travel at U.S. ports of entry that is critical to our Nation’s economy.
