Brownsville, Texas - U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Gateway International Bridge, Brownsville, Texas yesterday discovered marijuana valued at approximately $55,600 concealed within a Dodge Caravan.
CBP officers at the bridge stopped a male driving a maroon 1994 Dodge for a primary inspection. Examination by CBP officers in secondary revealed 25 hidden packages concealed within the Caravan. CBP officers removed the packages from the vehicle that had a combined total weight of 55.6 pounds of suspected marijuana.
This seizure has an estimated street value of approximately $55,600. CBP officers turned the man over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement special agents for further investigation. CBP officers seized the narcotics and the vehicle.
