Laredo Sector Border Patrol Holds Promotion Ceremony

LAREDO, Texas – Laredo Sector Border Patrol Chief Mario Martinez, presented new insignia ranks and certificates to 42 Border Patrol agents and 9 promotion certificates to Sector employees during a ceremony held Wednesday at The UISD Student Activity Center.

The selection and promotion of yesterday’s ceremony included promotion ranks from Patrol Agent in Charge (PAIC) Deputy Patrol Agent in Charge (DPAIC), Watch Commanders, Supervisory Border Patrol Agent, Branch Chief, Supervisory Mission Support Specialist, Supervisory Law Enforcement Communication Assistant, and Mission Support Specialist.

“These employees exemplify the skills, experience and knowledge to lead the Laredo Sector in the right direction.  I have no doubt that they will continue to excel in their career,” said Chief Mario Martinez.  

The Laredo Border Patrol Sector currently has over 1,600 Border Patrol Agents and over 100 support personnel.
