Philadelphia - Customs and Border Protection officers arrested Norristown, Pa., murder suspect Garfield Williams at Philadelphia International Airport Sunday night.
Officers met Williams, 39, as he deplaned from a flight from Montego Bay, Jamaica shortly after 10 p.m. Officers confirmed William's identity and arrest warrant, arrested him and turned him over to Norristown detectives.
"One of Customs and Border Protection's primary missions is to intercept bad things and bad people at our nation's borders and we take extraordinary pride in capturing wanted fugitives and bringing them to justice," said Allan Martocci, CBP Area Port Director for the Port of Philadelphia.
Williams is accused of shooting Marcus Bates outside the Elmwood Elks Lodge in Norristown. Williams allegedly fled the United States on Oct. 10.
