Washington - U.S. Customs and Border Protection in conjunction with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will host an Industry Day on Tuesday, Aug. 10, for local small business contractors to hear project details of the expansion of the CBP Advanced Training Center in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia.

The Advanced Training Center is a 224-acre state of the art facility providing specialized training to CBP officers, agents, and support personnel since 2005. The Industry Day will focus on the expansion of current campus facilities, to include dining, welcome/security, and shower and locker room facilities.

"Completing the planned development of the ATC campus will enable us to meet the current organizational training demands, and accommodate the ever-increasing operational tempo," said Advanced Training Center Director James Cobb.

Beginning at 1:30 p.m. at the Quality Hotel Conference Center in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, the Industry Day will consist of a project overview presentation, remarks by project representatives, a question and answer session, introductions of the Multiple Award Task Order Contractor representatives, and one-on-one sessions for local small business contractors to meet with those representatives regarding sub-contracting opportunities.

Seven MATOC contractors have received a request for proposal for this $14 - 17 million contract, and will be conducting a site visit the morning of Aug. 10.

For more information regarding the Industry Day, please contact: CBP Project Management Branch Chief Matthew Crotty, at (214) 905-5510.
