CBP Highlights Arrests and Seizures of the Week: Week 16

Washington - Interagency and jurisdictional collaboration as well as intergovernmental cooperation leads to significant arrests and extraditions, while currency and narcotics are intercepted en route in and out of the country - all segments of a busy week for the men and women of U.S. Customs and Border Protection. "Respect for civil rights and human rights is a staple of professional law enforcement. I think as we've grown, we've actually seen an increase in professionalism among border patrol agents and CBP officers as the years have gone on. The need to always protect civil rights and be cognizant of it [is] built into the DNA of CBP," said CBP Commissioner Alan Bersin.
