Washington - Holidays don't slow smugglers or fleeing fugitives. At airports, land borders and at sea a variety of encounters and interdictions are conducted by the men and women of U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Highlights of this week's activity include:

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is the unified border agency within the Department of Homeland Security charged with the management, control and protection of our nation's borders at and between the official ports of entry.
