CBP Highlights Top Apprehensions of 2010

Washington - In a banner year of enforcement actions, U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced today some of its top apprehensions of 2010. With a layered approach to its priority missions of security and facilitating legitimate trade and travel, CBP is committed to securing our nation's borders and safeguarding our way of life.

CBP also assisted in the apprehension of some of this year's most notorious criminals and suspected terrorists including suspected Times Square bomber Faisal Shahzad and the serial killer suspected in stabbings across Virginia and Michigan.

CBP officers and agents on the frontlines put their lives in danger each day to ensure the safety of this country. These are just some of the countless examples of the apprehensions CBP makes on a daily basis to keep our nation safe and secure.
