CBP STATEMENT: Laredo Single Vehicle Accident with Injuries

On October 3, 2020, at approximately 6:50 a.m., a Border Patrol agent assigned to Laredo Sector was involved in a single vehicle accident while transporting six detainees to the Laredo North Station for processing.  The accident occurred near mile marker 13 on Interstate Highway 35 (IH-35). Several of the detainees were transported to area hospitals for treatment and further medical evaluation.  The Border Patrol agent who was driving the vehicle was taken to a local hospital and was released. The accident is under investigation by the Laredo Police Department.  

 

Consistent with policy, CBP’s Office of Professional Responsibility has initiated a review.
