U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Uvalde Station seized a handgun from a Mexican national illegally in the U.S., Sept. 20.
Agents assigned to Uvalde Station performing line-watch duties were tracking an individual in a local ranch near Uvalde. When the agents located the subject, later identified as a citizen of Mexico, they discovered the subject had an .45 caliber Hi-Point pistol. While searching the subject, agents found a Hi-Point .45 caliber magazine, additional loose rounds of ammunition, and 1 gram of marijuana in the subject’s pockets. The subject and the handgun were transported to the Uvalde Station for further processing.
The subject will be processed in accordance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection guidelines.
