San Luis, Ariz - U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the San Luis, Ariz. port of entry, in coordination with the San Luis Police Department, last night identified and extradited an attempted murder suspect to Riverside County, California.
While conducting database queries of travelers entering the United States, CBP officers discovered a man who had a warrant from Riverside, CA on an assault and attempted murder charge with a $1 million bond. The officers immediately arrested him and turned him over to the San Luis police for further processing.
Since October 1, officers at the San Luis port of entry have apprehended 82 fugitives on various charges. These include people wanted for murder, assault, narcotic possession, identity theft, burglary, shoplifting, suspended drivers license, and a variety of other charges.
