Border Patrol Agents Foil Human Smuggling Attempt at IH-35 Checkpoint

LAREDO, Texas – Border Patrol agents assigned to the Border Patrol Checkpoint located on Interstate Highway 35 recently foiled a human smuggling attempt.

The event transpired on September 2, after the driver of the tractor-trailer was questioned regarding his immigration status at the primary inspection lane.  During questioning, the driver of the tractor-trailer consented to a search and was referred to secondary. 

Upon further inspection, agents discovered three illegal aliens concealed inside the trailer.  The illegal aliens were determined to be from the country of Mexico and found to be in good health.  The driver, a United States citizen, was arrested and all individuals were processed accordingly.
