CALEXICO, Calif. – U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the El Centro Sector arrested a gang member Tuesday morning in the desert area, east of the city.
At approximately 6:30 a.m., agents assigned to the Calexico station encountered a group of six undocumented individuals who illegally entered the United States, a mile and half north of the U.S./Mexico border. The individuals were arrested and transported to the El Centro Sector Processing Center to be further medically evaluated and processed accordingly.
Record checks revealed that one individual of the group is a documented member of a street gang known as the “Fresno Bulldogs”. This individual has extensive criminal and immigration history that includes numerous felony and misdemeanor convictions as well as multiple re-entries after deportation. This individual was previously ordered to be removed from the U.S.
U.S. Border Patrol will process all the individuals accordingly.
