San Diego - U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers this weekend apprehended several fugitives with outstanding warrants including a fugitive who tried to flee from officers.
CBP stopped nine persons with warrants for their arrest for various charges including burglary and sex offenses.
During early morning on February 27 a 60-year-old male U.S. citizen and resident of Chula Vista approached a CBP officer at the Otay Mesa port of entry driving his 1991 Acura. After checking the driver's documents, the officer discovered a warrant for the driver's arrest, at which point the driver fled from officers, driving northbound on Highway 905.
