BUFFALO, N.Y. – U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at the Peace Bridge Port of Buffalo arrested a 60-year-old male United States citizen from Lancaster, Pennsylvania who had multiple outstanding warrants out of Ohio.
Saturday, CBP officers encountered the subject after Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officers denied his entry into Canada. During the initial examination encounter, CBP officers discovered two active National Crime Information Center (NCIC) warrants out of Macedonia, Ohio Police Department, one for parole violation on a prior Robbery Offense and the other for Robbery of a Banking-type Institution.
“This example illustrates how CBP continues to work alongside our law enforcement partners to play a vital role in keeping our communities safe,” said Acting Buffalo Port Director Gaetano Cordone.
After CBP processing, officers turned the U.S. citizen over to the Buffalo Police Department for extradition to Ohio to face the warrant charges.
