EAGLE PASS, Texas - U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Office of Field Operations officers at the Eagle Pass Port of Entry apprehended 13 Mexican nationals attempting to make illegal entry to the United States by presenting valid entry documents that did not belong to them.
“Our frontline officers continue to steadfastly uphold our border security mission. The processing and identity verification of these individuals helps keep our community safe and illustrates our dedication to our mission,” said Port Director Paul Del Rincon, Eagle Pass Port of Entry.
The apprehension occurred on Thursday, July 30, at the Camino Real International Bridge. CBP officers conducted an examination of a commercial bus arriving from Mexico and referred it to secondary for further inspection. CBP officers utilized interview skills to discover 13 Mexican nationals attempting to make illegal entry to the United States by presenting United States birth certificates, United States passports and Legal Permanent Resident cards that did not belong to them. All 13 individuals were taken into custody for further investigation and subsequent processing.
