ROMA, Texas —U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Office of Field Operations officers at the Roma Port of Entry seized more than $600,000 in methamphetamine during a single enforcement action.
“We maintain a robust enforcement posture which is vital in keeping our borders secure,” said Port Director Andres Guerra, Roma Port of Entry. “Our officers remain dedicated to the CBP mission of keeping illegal and dangerous substances off the streets of our country.”
The seizure occurred on Saturday, November 14, 2020 when a CBP officer referred a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta occupied by a male U.S. citizen for a secondary inspection. CBP officers seized the narcotics, which have an estimated street value of $618,000 and arrested the driver.
