Convicted Murderer and Sex Offender Arrested in Rio Grande Valley

EDINBURG, Texas, – Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents arrest two illegal aliens with  previous convictions for murder and sexual related crimes.

Last night, a Mexican national was apprehended near Havana, Texas, by agents from the McAllen station. During processing, records checks on the subject revealed an arrest by the Minneapolis Police Department for Criminal Sex Condunct-4th Degree-Victim 16-17/Victim Mental Impair/Helpless. He was later convicted and sentenced to 24 months confinement. 

Earlier the same day, a Mexican national was apprehended by McAllen Station Border Patrol Agents near Mission, Texas. Record checks revealed the subject had been arrested by the San Antonio Police Department for Capital Murder. He was later convicted and the presiding judge sentenced him to 20 years confinement.

Both subjects were referred for prosecution.
