Uvalde, Texas U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Uvalde Station arrested a previously convicted sex offender, June 25.

“The agents of Del Rio Sector remain vigilant against these violent criminals," said Del Rio Sector Acting Chief Patrol Agent Doyle E. Amidon, Jr. “As these predators attempt to make entry into the United States, our agents stand ready to defend our communities and our nation.”

Agents conducting line watch operations, encountered and arrested Ronald Hernandez-Zetino, 34, a citizen of El Salvador. During processing, records checks showed he had previously been convicted of sexual assault in Little Rock, Arkansas, in 2006 and sentenced to five years confinement.
