Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents arrest wanted undocumented criminal individual

LAREDO, Texas – Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents from the Laredo West Station arrested a wanted undocumented criminal individual northwest of Laredo, Texas.

The arrest occurred on Jan. 5, when agents apprehended an individual in the brush near the Rio Grande. The undocumented individual was identified as Jose Padilla-Yepez, a 54-year-old Mexican national.  Record checks revealed that Padilla-Yepez had an active warrant out of Pierce County in Wisconsin for battery.  It was also revealed that he has an extensive criminal history including for burglary, sexual assault, battery and re-entry after deportation charges and a conviction for 2nd degree murder in 1989 out of Dallas County in Texas.
