LAREDO, Texas – On June 27, 2018, Laredo Sector Border Patrol Agents assigned to the Freer Station encountered a 2009 Toyota Camry, while performing their duties at the Border Patrol Checkpoint located on Highway 59. The driver was questioned regarding his immigration status and was referred to secondary after a Border Patrol canine alerted to the presence of concealed humans and/or narcotics.
Upon further inspection, Border Patrol agents discovered two illegal aliens inside the trunk of the vehicle. The two illegal aliens were found in good health and were identified as being from the country of Mexico and Honduras. The driver, a United States Citizen, was arrested and the vehicle utilized in the smuggling event was seized by Border Patrol. All subjects were processed accordingly.
