LAREDO, Texas – On July 14, 2018, Laredo North Agents assigned to the Border Patrol Checkpoint located on Interstate Highway 35 interdicted a smuggling case involving 41 illegal aliens.  The event transpired after the driver of the tractor trailer was questioned regarding his immigration status at the primary inspection lane.  The driver of the tractor trailer consented to a non-intrusive inspection utilizing the x-ray machine, which detected several anomalies.

“The men and women of the United States Border Patrol remain determined in disrupting illicit activity along our border.  Through our combined enforcement efforts, we will continued to deny criminal organizations the ability to operate,” said Laredo Sector Acting Chief Patrol Agent Jason D. Owens.
