LAREDO, Texas – Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents assigned to the Hebbronville Station detected and stopped a human smuggling attempt near Hebbronville, Texas.

The event occurred on March 8, when a Border Patrol agent working his assigned duties detected a large group of individuals walking through a ranch southeast of Hebbronville, Texas.  With the assistance of a Border Patrol small Unmanned Aircraft System, agents were directed to the large group and apprehended at total of 24 undocumented individuals from the countries of Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Mexico.  All individuals were taken into custody and will be processed accordingly.

This event demonstrates how agents coordinate with each other to protect our Nation’s borders.  Their duty is to mitigate any threat coming across our borders and they are committed to their duties of protecting the American people, safeguarding our borders, and enhancing the Nation’s economic prosperity.
