LAREDO, Texas – U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Laredo South Station (LRS), along with assistance from local law enforcement agencies, shut down three stash houses on the same day in Laredo.
The first incident began during the mid-afternoon of August 11, when agents received information of a possible stash house in midtown Laredo. Agents and Laredo Police Department (LPD) officers conducted a consensual search at a residence on the 900 block of East Taylor which resulted in the apprehension of 10 individuals. The individuals were from Mexico and in the country illegally.
The second incident occurred later that evening, when LRS agents received information regarding a possible stash house on the 3000 block of Santa Barbara Street in south Laredo. Through coordinated efforts with agents and the Webb County Constables Office Pct #3, LRS agents performed a consensual search of the residence that led to the discovery and arrest of 18 Mexican nationals who were also in the United States illegally.
The final incident occurred less than an hour later, when LPD requested assistance with a possible stash house on the 200 block of Ash Street. Agents responded and took into custody seven individuals who were in the country illegally from Mexico, El Salvador, and Honduras.
All 35 individuals from the three stash houses were arrested and processed accordingly.
