RGV Agents Continue To Keep Our Communities Safe

EDINBURG, Texas – Rio Grande Valley Sector (RGV) agents arrested two child sex offenders, a previously convicted drug smuggler, and a Mara-Salvatrucha (MS-13) gang member over the weekend.

On May 6, McAllen Border Patrol Station (MCS) agents apprehended a Mexican national near Mission.  The migrant had been previously removed from the U.S. after being sentenced to 18 months confinement in 2017 for possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is the unified border agency within the Department of Homeland Security charged with the management, control and protection of our nation's borders at and between official ports of entry. CBP is charged with securing the borders of the United States while enforcing hundreds of laws and facilitating lawful trade and travel.
