03/29/2012 - Agents responded to a request for assistance from an Everson police officer who was on a traffic stop in Everson, Wash. Agents determined that the driver of the vehicle was a citizen of Mexico illegally present in the United States. The subject was placed under arrest and processed for removal.
03/29/2012- Agents apprehended a subject as a result of a vehicle stop in close proximity to the U.S. - Canada border near Blaine, Wash. The subject, a Mexican citizen illegally present in the United States, initially claimed to be a naturalized U.S. citizen and gave agents permission to search his vehicle. The search revealed more than 26 pounds of methamphetamines valued at approximately $500,000 and a handgun, which had been reported stolen. The subject, weapon, and drugs were turned over to Homeland Security Investigations and an immigration detainer was placed on the subject.
04/03/2012 - Agents assisted a Washington State Patrol trooper who was on a vehicle stop near Burlington, Wash. During the encounter the four occupants of the vehicle admitted to being Mexican citizens illegally present in the United States. Three of the subjects were placed under arrest by U.S. Border Patrol agents and processed for removal. A firearm was found in the vehicle and the fourth individual was arrested by the Washington State Patrol for possession of a firearm by an alien. Agents placed an immigration detainer on the fourth subject.
04/03/2012 - Agents encountered an individual walking southbound from the U.S. - Canada border in the area of the Peace Arch State Park in Blaine,Wash. after the park had closed for the night. The agent determined that the subject had entered illegally into the United States. The individual, a citizen of Canada, was placed under arrest and transported to the station for processing and further investigation. A records check revealed that the subject had an extensive criminal history in the United States including robbery and attempted arson. Subject was processed for reinstatement of a prior order of removal.
