TUCSON, Ariz. – Border Patrol agents from Tucson Station’s sub-station in Three Points responded to a 911 call Saturday afternoon and found a 28-year-old man from El Salvador lost in a remote desert area west of Three Points.

The man told authorities over the phone he had entered the United States illegally through the desert near Sasabe, Arizona, and was lost. He was, however, able to provide agents with enough geographical information on his surroundings to initiate a search.

Within an hour of the call, agents located the man, exhausted, but in good health.

The man was subsequently arrested for immigration violations and transported to the Tucson Station for further processing.
