LAREDO, Texas – Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended a gang member 20 miles west of Freer, Texas.
The incident occurred during the morning of July 27, when agents assigned to the Freer Station apprehended a group of 15 undocumented individuals inside a ranch west of Freer. One undocumented individual was identified as Danilo Diaz-Neris, a 41-year-old El Salvador national. Record checks revealed that Diaz-Neris had an extensive criminal history and identified as a MS-13 gang member. He will be prosecuted for his immigration violation and will be remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.
Laredo Sector agents continue to apprehend criminal undocumented individuals crossing illegally into the United States who have been previously convicted for various crimes and deported to their country of origin. Dangerous criminals such as this endanger our communities by showing a lack of regard for our country’s laws.
