TUCSON, Ariz. – U.S. Customs and Border Protection is saddened to report a 49-year-old man from Mexico was pronounced deceased Monday morning in a Southern Arizona hospital. Our condolences are with his family.
On Sunday, Oct. 20, at 1 p.m., a 49-year-old Mexican national was apprehended by Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents, south of Casa Grande. During processing it was determined the man needed medical attention and was transported to a Tucson area hospital. Medical officials determined that the man had a pre-existing heart condition. On Monday, at approximately 9 a.m., the man was pronounced deceased.
