Directions to Port Office

I-75

From I-75, take exit 128 (Alico Road/Southwest Florida Int’l Airport), and follow the airport expressway signs. Once onto the airport property, please stay in the left lane, and park in the covered short term parking area on the second level. The office is located on the ground level, to the right of the baggage claim area.

For administrative actions, please call ahead for an appointment and availability, as during the processing of commercial international flights, there is limited staffing available.

General aviation landing rights requests

The pilot in command (or other responsible party) should file their APIS transmission, and after receiving a confirmation e-mail, must contact the Ft Myers office during normal hours to request landing rights as far in advance as reasonably possible. Aircraft arriving from south of the 33rd parallel must have a current and valid border overflight exemption on file as required by 19 CFR part 122.

Outbound aircraft departure requests: will be conducted in accordance with 19 CFR part 122.

All vessels returning from foreign

In south Florida are required to first call (800) 432-1216 or (800) 451-0393 and obtain an arrival number before discharging passengers, crew, cargo or garbage. This includes persons registered in trusted traveler programs, and must be completed before contacting the local office for further clearances if required.

Other Information

The CBP Fort Myers office is both a commercial aviation, and a general aviation landing rights airport operation as covered in 19 CFR part 122. In addition, CBP Fort Myers serves both airport passenger and cargo customers, along with maritime vessel arrival and departure processing. Other administrative services are available by appointment only.

Port personnel are the face at the border for returning residents and visitors entering the United States. Here CBP enforces the import and export laws and regulations of the U.S. federal government and conducts admissibility activities. The staff also performs agriculture inspections to protect the USA from potential carriers of animal and plant pests or diseases that could cause serious damage to America's crops, livestock, pets, and the environment.
