Supervisory Border Patrol Agent Martin Barrios passed away on November 29, 2021. The circumstances of his passing were reviewed by an executive panel and the CBP Commissioner who determined that this death occurred in the line of duty. Agent Barrios will be remembered for his diligent service to the nation and for his bravery in the face of danger.
SBPA Barrios entered on duty on April 28, 2003, as part of the 548th Session of the Border Patrol Academy. He was assigned to the Brian A. Terry Station in Tucson Sector at the time of his passing. Prior to joining the U. S. Border Patrol, SBPA Barrios served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1990 to 1995. He was survived by his wife, two children and two siblings.
