EAPA Action: Notice of Determination as to Evasion in EAPA Case 7730 - Steel Grating
WASHINGTON — On July 21, 2023, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued its determination as to evasion by Double L Group, LLC and Manufacturing Network Inc. (collectively referred to as the “Importers”) in Enforce and Protect Act (EAPA) investigation 7730, examining the evasion of antidumping duty order A-570-947 and countervailing duty order C-570-948 on certain steel grating from the People’s Republic of China (China). CBP found there was substantial evidence that the Importers had been entering covered merchandise from China that had been misclassified as non-covered merchandise.
In light of CBP’s finds, CBP will:
- Suspend or continue to suspend the importer’s entries subject to this investigation until instructed to liquidate these entries;
- Rate adjust and change those entries previously extended in accordance with the interim measures to type 03 and continue suspension until instructed to liquidate these entries; and
- Review the Importers’ continuous bonds and require single transaction bonds, as appropriate.
