SARITA, Texas – U.S. Border Patrol agents working at the Javier Vega Jr. checkpoint disrupted a smuggling attempt resulting in the apprehension of 48 illegal aliens.
Early this morning, Kingsville agents working at the Javier Vega Jr. Checkpoint referred a grain hauling tractor/trailer to the secondary inspection area after a Border Patrol K-9 alerted. During the inspection, agents discovered 48 illegal aliens concealed inside the hauler on top of the grain product.
Agents arrested the driver and the U.S. Border Patrol is processing all subjects accordingly.
