Border Patrol Agents Arrest Two Gang Members in the Rio Grande Valley, Texas

EDINBURG, Texas – This weekend, Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents arrested two illegal aliens with ties to street gangs, and a man with an active warrant for sexual assault in New Jersey.

On Saturday, March 6, 2021, McAllen Border Patrol agents working near Hidalgo, Texas, arrested a Honduran adult male shortly after illegally entering the United States. During processing, record checks identified the man as an MS-13 gang member.

Yesterday morning, agents from the Kingsville Border Patrol Station apprehended a group of 29 illegal aliens attempting to circumvent the checkpoint near Sarita, Texas. Record checks for a Salvadoran national revealed him to being an active member of the 18th Street Gang.

Yesterday afternoon, Brownsville Border Patrol agents arrested a Salvadoran citizen after he illegal entered the United States. During processing, record checks revealed an outstanding warrant for Sexual Assault of a Minor by the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office in New Jersey.

Border Patrol processed the subjects accordingly.
