PORTLAND, Maine – On Monday, February 3, U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Portland area to conduct transportation check operations, encountered a person who was wanted on multiple felony warrants.

Agents encountered an adult male with a list of warrants ranging from illegal possession of a firearm, to habitual burglary of a vehicle.

Record checks later indicated that he was wanted in several counties throughout Maine.

“This arrest wouldn’t be possible without our increased situational awareness and technology, and the diligence of our agents.  It also illustrates the importance of the partnerships we have with the local law enforcement agencies” said Robert Leroux, Patrol Agent in Charge of the Border Patrol of Rangeley Station, Maine.

Agents turned the subject over to Portland Police Department.
