Buffalo, N.Y. - U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced an upcoming addition to NEXUS lane availability at the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge for U.S. bound NEXUS traffic and a modification of NEXUS hours at the Rainbow Bridge in the Buffalo, N.Y. region. These changes will be effective on Dec. 17.
CBP at the Lewiston Bridge will introduce a NEXUS lane for U.S. bound traffic available Monday through Friday from 7 to 9 a.m.
The Rainbow Bridge NEXUS lane hours will change to Monday through Friday 6 to 10 a.m. The weekend and holiday hours for NEXUS at the Rainbow Bridge will be 8 to 10 a.m.
Travelers are reminded that the NEXUS exclusive Whirlpool Bridge operates seven days per week from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The Peace Bridge NEXUS lane hours will remain the same at Monday through Friday 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and weekend and holiday hours 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The Port of Buffalo continuously monitors NEXUS lane usage and employs active lane management to meet traffic demands and ensure that NEXUS lanes have the shortest average wait time.
