CBP Delivers Holiday Gifts To Candelaria Children

PRESIDIO, Texas – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers from the Presidio Port of Entry participated in their annual Christmas event with the children of Candelaria this week. CBP officers traveled from the Presidio port to Candelaria to deliver gifts to 65 children at the remote Texas village December 14

The Presidio port of entry officers continue to show their commitment to their community,” said Presidio acting Port Director Steven Green, “Whether through their law enforcement activities at the Port or through their personal contributions to the citizens of Presidio County.”

The port of entry has sponsored this Christmas gift drive since 1996. Each year the week before the Presidio ISD Christmas break port volunteers make the drive to Candelaria to deliver the donated gifts. Parents of the children host a holiday meal for all in attendance.
