Laredo Sector Border Patrol Agents Arrest Mexican Mafia Gang Member

LAREDO, Texas – On January 18, 2018, agents at the Border Patrol Checkpoint on Highway 59 arrested a United States Citizen associated to the Mexican Mafia Gang.  A black Mazda Tribute approached the primary inspection lane and the driver and passenger were referred to secondary for further inspection.  Border Patrol agents determined the vehicle was stolen from Austin, Texas and arrested the driver and passenger.  One of the subjects admitted to being a member of the Mexican Mafia Gang and had an extensive criminal history.  Both subjects and the vehicle were turned over to the Webb County Sheriff’s Office.
