LAREDO, Texas – On January 9, 2018, Border Patrol agents seized 361.9 pounds of marijuana after responding to suspicious activity near Anna Avenue in Laredo, Texas. As the agents approached the area they discovered five abandoned bundles of marijuana inside a Chrysler Voyager near the riverbanks of the Rio Grande River. The marijuana had an estimated value of $289,520.00. No arrests were made in this case. The marijuana was turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration and the vehicle was seized by Border Patrol.
Later that night, Border Patrol agents seized 366.52 pounds of marijuana after responding to suspicious activity near Mines Road in Laredo, Texas. The agents were able to recover five bundles of marijuana that had an estimated value of $293,568.00. No arrests were made in this case and the marijuana was turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
On January 10, 2018, Border Patrol agents seized 388.6 pounds of marijuana after responding to suspicious activity near Riverside Drive in Laredo, Texas. As agents approached the area, they discovered five bundles of marijuana that had an estimated value of $310,880.00. No arrests were made in this case and the marijuana was turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
