LAREDO, Texas – The Laredo Sector Border Patrol proudly participated in the 122nd Washington’s Birthday Celebration in Laredo, Texas, during the month of February.
Throughout the celebration, the Laredo Sector Border Patrol participated in several events that the Washington’s Birthday Celebration Association (WBCA) organizes, including several parades, a 5K Run, air show, and the annual bridge ceremony.
In his first time participating in the celebration, Chief Patrol Agent Felix Chavez attended the American Historical Theatre George Washington Performance, the WBCA Welcome Luncheon, the Princess Pocahontas Pageant and Ball, and the Society of Martha Washington Colonial Pageant.
“It was truly captivating to me: the historical traditions, the long-standing festival and the impact it has in the community of Laredo. The commitment and volunteerism of the WBCA Board of Directors is one to be applauded and recognized,” said Chief Patrol Agent Felix Chavez.
The Laredo Sector Border Patrol has a long-standing tradition of participating in these annual events. It is our time to engage further in the community by highlighting Border Patrol assets.
