EDINBURG, Texas – Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol (RGV) agents arrest two Mara-Salvatrucha (MS-13), a Sureno, and two 18th Street gang members in two days.
On April 11, McAllen Border Patrol Station (MCS) agents apprehended eight migrants near La Joya. A Salvadoran national among the group was identified as an 18th Street gang member with previous removals from the U.S.
Also on April 11, MCS processing agents discovered a MS-13 gang member from El Salvador.
Later that evening, MCS agents apprehended two Honduran nationals near Sullivan City. During processing, one of the Honduran migrants was identified as a Sureno gang member who was previously removed from the U.S.
On April 12, MCS agents arrested a group of 11 migrants near Hidalgo. Record checks on a Salvadoran national revealed his affiliation to the 18th Street gang and a 21-year career criminal history.
Also on April 12, Rio Grande City Border Patrol Station agents apprehended a group of five migrants near Roma. A Salvadoran national among the group was identified as an MS-13 gang member.
All subjects were processed accordingly.
