YUMA, Ariz. – Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents seized a mix of narcotics Wednesday morning after a canine alerted to a 2007 Toyota Corolla during an immigration stop in Dome Valley, east of Yuma.
After Wellton Station Border Patrol agents stopped the vehicle near Avenue 20E and Old Highway 80, a canine’s alert during the subsequent search led to the discovery of almost 5 pounds of heroin; 25 pounds of methamphetamine; and nearly 5 pounds of cocaine. The drugs have a combined value of approximately $218,000.
The male driver, vehicle and drugs were processed per Yuma Sector guidelines.
