As of 12:01 am CST this morning, CBP’s Office of Field Operations has resumed operations at the international railway crossing bridge in Eagle Pass, Texas. We continue to work closely with our partners in the Government of Mexico to ensure safety and security throughout the region and on railway networks. CBP took immediate action in response to an increase in encounters in the Eagle Pass area, surging all available resources and swiftly and safely vetting and processing migrants. OFO personnel will continue to assist the U.S. Border Patrol in this area. Vehicular processing operations at Bridge 1 remain suspended. We will continue to evaluate our operational posture and make additional adjustments as warranted. CBP remains vigilant and will maximize consequences against those without a legal basis to remain in the United States. Across the southwest border, CBP will continue to prioritize our border security mission.
