BPA Daniel H. Salazar

Border Patrol Agent Daniel H. Salazar passed away on May 13, 2022, from injuries sustained in an on-duty rollover accident while patrolling near Campo, California. At the time of the accident, Agent Salazar was responding to a sensor activation.

Agent Salazar started his CBP career on June 8, 2018, as part of 1097th Session of the Border Patrol Academy. He served as a Border Patrol agent for the El Cajon Station in the San Diego Sector until his death. BPA Salazar was survived by his wife, his 9-month-old son, his parents and three siblings.
