This Directive establishes policy and guidance for CBP offices to develop, implement, and maintain a nasal naloxone program for non-health care providers in the CBP workforce. Principal field managers should use the guidance outlined in this Directive along with guidance provided in U.S. Department of Homeland Security (OHS) Policy Directive No. 247-01 (Department Policy Regarding the Administration of Naloxone by Non-Healthcare Providers) to assist in determining requirements for their naloxone program.
