Quarantine Materials Inspections Statistics

Return to the Public Data Portal

Quarantine Materials Interceptions (QMI) are the agricultural items that were regulated and intercepted by CBP agriculture specialists resulting from an inspection. A QMI is counted as one type of product, and multiple products may be intercepted during a single inspection.

Data is extracted from live CBP systems and data sources. Statistical information is subject to change due to corrections, systems changes, change in data definition, additional information, or seizures pending final review. Final statistics are available at the conclusion of each fiscal year.
