FALFURRIAS, Texas - U.S. Border Patrol agents found twelve illegal aliens concealed in aAgents rescued 12 immigrants at the Falfurrias checkpoint tractor trailer.

Early Sunday morning, agents assigned to the Falfurrias Checkpoint were conducting immigration inspections when a tractor trailer, driven by a United States Citizen, approached the primary inspection lane. Upon investigation, agents discovered twelve illegal aliens concealed within the cargo. All subjects were offered medical attention but declined. The driver was arrested.

“The continued inhumane treatment of these immigrants by smuggling organizations is precisely why the Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol initiated Operation Big Rig,” said Chief Patrol Agent Manuel Padilla, Jr. “We are asking the community to take a stand and help save lives by reporting these types of crimes before it is too late.”

Operation Big Rig is a call to action for everyone, the media, the community, neighbors, family, friends and law enforcement to call 911 if they see or are aware of smuggling or suspicious activity.
